Oatmeal Sugar Body Scrub

Oatmeal Sugar Body Scrub leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. This scrub is natural, simple to make and cost-effective. I already had the ingredients in my kitchen and was able to waste no time to make it. Oatmeal is a mild cleanser, exfoliates, removes dead skin cells, and moisturizes. I used organic brown sugar crystals for a good scrubbing and 100% whole grain rolled oats, both from Trader Joe’s. We know coconut oil and it’s deep moisturizing benefits and honey is an anti-bacterial and brings suppleness. The food processor I used to grind the oatmeal into flour was NutriBullet and I was amazed how fast and refined it turned the oatmeal. You can use any food processor or blender that will easily refine the oats.

Glowing Turmeric Face Mask

Turmeric is not only useful as a spice for curry dishes, or only beneficial for internal uses by drinking a Turmeric Almond Milk, it’s also an excellent use as a beauty product. Most recipes I’ve found for this mask includes flour or oatmeal, but because of the clumpy texture, I opt to not include it and keep it smooth and creamy with a yogurt base.

Turmeric Almond Milk Beverage

By far, this turmeric almond milk beverage is my favorite nightcap drink to make. Not only is it delicious, it’s packed with a variety of health benefits. This treat is one that I’ve made multiple times a week to take advantage of the nutrients it provides such as it’s vitamins and most importantly, it’s anti-inflammatory ability. Turmeric is also good for coughs, colds, and sore throats. Although I don’t suffer from insomnia, it’s perfect for those who can’t get the sandman to show up for a visit. The additional ingredients in this turmeric drink includes: cinnamon, which is loaded with powerful antioxidants that have potent anti-inflammatory activity, ginger which has a long history of relieving digestive problems, nausea, pain reduction, inflammation, and honey for a hint of sweetness.

Sugar Lip Scrub

Whenever my lips become flaky or the skin starts to peel I use this DIY sugar honey lip scrub. Nothing is worse than crusty lips. I used to have a hard time finding lip scrubs in the beauty section of department stores and when I did, it was quite expensive. Now I make my own with the simple ingredients I have at home. Sugar + Honey. Dassssit! One part of each, mix it together, and scrub gently in circular motion on your lips, rinse, and moisturize with lip balm. It works great and my lips are smooth.
